What is the Purpose of HS Mapping?
The HS Mapping Solution can be used to map quickly an HS number from one country tariff schedule to an HS number from another country tariff schedule. By entering the first six digits of the HS code, a user will see all matching HS codes for the potential country of destination. This solution allows the user to save service charges to trade agents, which are incurred for the HS classification of goods.
What is a Schedule B Code?
Schedule B codes are mandatory identification numbers that are used for exporting from the U.S. and are U.S.-specific. The U.S. Census Bureau administers these codes for statistical purposes.
What is a Complex Tariff?
A group of related tariff numbers in the US Tariff Schedule. For example, an ensemble can consist of a blouse, a skirt and a jacket. The HS number of the ensemble is related to the HS numbers of the blouse, the skirt and the jacket and duty is calculated on the bases of the related HS numbers.
